Cap'n CrookAfter hearing from a local bar maid that Cap'n Crook (before he was known as such) wasa master with the sword, the captain of a British convoy passing through the Caribbean Isles shanghaied him into service. However, while passing through the Bermuda Triangle, the crew all stayed in their cabins, superstitious of the eerie happenings that occur within the triangle. Using the opportunity to get away, Cap'n Crook swiftly jumped overboard and swam away as quickly as he could, using his beard as a life raft. After four days of floating on the open sea, he was picked up by a band of Singaporean pirates who mistook him for a narwhal. After convincing the ship's captain that he had 20/20 vision despite having two glass eyes, he was made both first mate and head navigator of the vessel. However, after accidentally insulting the size of the captain's eyebrows because of his poor Singaporean, Cap'n Crook was forced into a duel with the captain that ended up in Crook being the new commander of the vessel. Since that time, he has spent his days and nights roaming the high seas, plundering as much booty as he can from any ship he comes across, no matter what country's flag they sail under. Captain TossCaptain Toss ran away from home at the age of 15, when her father decided she shouldmarry a mean, old man. To escape this fate, Captain Toss joined the circus where she became an excellent juggler. The other performers called to her, “Toss a ball”, earning her the name “Toss”. When she was 16, she learned that the circus would be visiting her hometown. Afraid her father would recognize her, she deserted the circus and decided to stow away on a pirate ship. Unfortunately, she was caught, and the pirates on board wanted her to walk the plank. Luckily, Captain Toss had thought to bring her juggling balls along, and she amazed the pirates with her well-developed skills. The pirates decided to keep her onboard for entertainment and she soon became a valued member of the crew. Pages 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 |
