Captain Flounder

Captain Flounder came from a mysterious island thousands of miles off the coast of New
Zealand. She once followed her brother, the infamous Captain Yak, as his first mate in
his vessel, the "HMS Cranky Man" sailing in the seven seas for many years. At age 14,
Captain Flounder mastered her swordswomanship and took control of the HMS Cranky
Man when she accidentally threw her brother overboard during a sword fight over a jug
or grog. She has since renamed the vessel to The Black Dagger to carry on piracy and
swashbuckling at sea in the name of the family. Captain Flounder loves to pick a fight
with her seamen who seem lazy and out of shape. She almost always wins the sword fights
with her favorite foil, nicknamed the Emerald, in tow. She now spends her time sailing
the seven seas, looking for a worthy dueling opponent. The foil she nicknamed "The
Emerald" is rumored to be guarded in the steely tangled hairs of a mermaid that Captain
Flounder found sleeping at the bottom of the Black Sea.

Captain Donal

Captain Donal was born in Ireland, but he was raised on the high seas. Donal earned his
keep as a kazoo player on merchant ships until he was forced into service on a British
Royal Navy vessel bound for the Spanish Main. As it happened, the captain of the ship
wasn't cut out for leadership; one quick mutiny later, Donal was at the helm of a nicely
outfitted sloop, ready to embark on his pirate career. As a pirate, Donal has gained a
reputation for being a little bit crazy--among his more eccentric habits are that he
sometimes falls to the ground as if dead (to confuse anyone who may be spying on him)
and that he travels everywhere with a parrot that he keeps cleverly disguised as a small
white dog.

Captain Zebra

No one is certain how Captain Zebra wound up in Botswana domesticating the zebra (a feat that has never been
repeated) but the truth lies somewhere between a trade dispute with some Mughals and a weaving competition in
Botswana. The Captain, however, will only say that she swam there. The first time she encountered these strange
horses, the Captain was impressed by their wild nature and tenacity. Painting herself in stripes and wearing her
hair straight up on her head she gained their trust and soon commanded an army that no
one was prepared to face. On one historic day, however, the British Navy did get the better of her when an anti-zebra
repellent was designed. Left alone to face 200 soldiers, the Captain was taken prisoner and bound for England. As she
sat at the bottom of a creaking vessel she thought all was lost until a pirate ship boarded and seized her prison. More
than happy to join a pirate crew, she quickly rose in ranks and hopes that someday she will be reunited with her pack.
